Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director best known as the star of Birdman. An actor with a variety of talents, he's adept at playing comedic in addition to dramatic roles. His professional career has seen him has performed a range of romantic roles, and has also appeared in action thrillers. He began to take an interest in performing and acting when he was in his teens and tried his luck at stand-up comedy when he was an adult. While his stand-up comedy wasn't a success, it did to open the way for his acting. To be successful as a comedian and performer, he was hired in the role of a cameraman with a local cable television station. It was while working there when he came to the realization that the way he wanted to work was present in front of cameras. After landing a role in a television show, he appeared on numerous seasons in Mister Rogers Neighborhood. An actor with natural talent, he gained popularity quickly on television. He launched an acting career in film with huge ambitions and found considerable fame with his comedic roles. The accolades grew as he played Batman's own hero from Tim Burton's Batman. In time he grew up in the field of acting and then began working in productions and directed films. The role he played in Birdman in 2014's Birdman was nominated for numerous nominations and awards.
